Wednesday November 15, 4 pm McMeekan Centre, Ruakura Research Centre, Hamilton Professor Dr Heiner Niemann Department of Reproductive Biology at the Veterinary University, Hannover Towards clinical application of porcine xenografts: Update and perspectives   Heiner Niemann is the head of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute for Farm Animal Genetics, Germany, Professor for Reproductive Biology at the Veterinary University Hannover and member of the German National Academy of Sciences. He specialises in reproductive medicine, reproductive biotechnology and molecular genetics. Heiner pioneered the production of transgenic pigs for novel biomedical applications, such as gene pharming and xenotransplantation.
